The B's Amazing Travel Adventures: Stop # 2

* A Roadblock is a task that only one team member may perform *

The task: Get to town for food using a car with no power

Team member Mike's was chosen for this Roadblock, since he is the most experienced in using a stick shift with his left hand. The challenge - to get the car started before it rolls into any objects.

Fortunately for Team Baxendell, Ireland has a hilly terrain, including in the parking lot of the hotel. After an assist from team members Kerri and Austin, team member Mike was able to pop the clutch and start the car before careening into the dumpster.

Turns out, finding food was the bigger Roadblock, as only one restaurant was open and still serving food at 9:10 pm.

Stop # 2 - Selinsgrove Penn

The buses split up to different restaurants. We (Em and I) ended up at Wendy's, and the others split between McD's and the King. It's 6:22 and we're on the road. Again. Maybe we can go at least 3 hours before stopping again!

Dare: Kiss the Blarney Stone

It only seemed fitting that team member Emma was chosen to perform this Travel Dare, as she had requested to make a Pit Stop at the Blarney Castle.

Kissing the Blarney Stone is considered daring in its own right, but especially considering the hulabaloo in the UK over Swine Flu, this dare was especially challenging to team member Emma.

After a little encouragement and a lesson on germs, team member Emma was able to satisfactorily complete the travel dare, much to the excitement of team members Kerri, Mike and even Austin! Just as a precaution, she immediately rinsed her lips with water and pomegranate hand sanitizer!
